We Still Like You

We Still Like You is a show all about celebrating and conquering shame, so we ask our performers to tell their most shameful, cringe-worthy, and humiliatingly funny stories. Do you have a story that sometimes keeps you up at night, maybe it makes you anxious, and you’ve told almost no one? Perfect. That’s what we want to talk about and laugh at. Sometimes the stories are hilarious, gross, or dark, but no matter the tale, our audience will raise a glass and cheers “WE STILL LIKE YOU” once your story is over. So have no fear, and be your worst self: they’re gonna still like you. And besides, if we’re all assholes then none of us are.

ABOUT DANA GOULD

Dana recently released a new one-hour special, “I Know It’s Wrong,” on Showtime. His monthly podcast, The Dana Gould Hour, has nearly 2 million total listens and frequently resides in iTunes’ top ten comedy downloads. Previously Dana had a recurring role in Frank Darabont’s show Mob City on TNT and was most recently a writer for the NBC sitcom Cristela. He has also had guest appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Maron, Real Time with Bill Maher, Anger Management, Seinfeld and The Ben Stiller Show. Dana served as Co-Executive Producer on The Simpsons and performed several voices for the show. He was also a producer on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. Dana appeared in the film The Aristocrats, and stand-up remains a big part of his career.

Dana began his professional comedy career at the age of seventeen, and spent the next twenty years or so performing in the halcyon days of "The Comedy Boom". Dana has several HBO specials to his credit as well guest appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night With Conan O'Brien, Maron and Real Time with Bill Maher. He has also had memorable appearances on Anger Management, Seinfeld and The Ben Stiller Show, and was a regular on the NBC series "Working" (which wasn't, and was soon cancelled). After writing the pilot "World On A String" (with Jay Kogen), Dana co-created MTV's late, lamented "Super Adventure Team" (with Rob Cohen). He then joined the staff of The Simpsons, where he was a Co-Executive Producer and performed several voices for the show.  He was also a producer on NBC's "Parks and Recreation." Last year he developed a comedy pilot for FX, executive producing with Dave Grohl. He is currently developing an animated comedy for 20th TV and THE JETSONS for Conaco TV and WB animation. Dana is currently shooting THE MORNING SHOW pilot, co-hosting with Janet Varney and produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay for USA.

Dana appeared in the film "The Aristocrats," and stand-up remains a big part of his career.  He continues to perform regularly in and around Los Angeles.  In 2009, Dana recorded a one-hour Showtime comedy special, "Let Me Put My Thoughts In You," and in 2013 recorded his next special, "I Know It's Wrong". His monthly podcast, The Dana Gould Hour, was an instant hit, frequently residing in iTunes' top ten comedy downloads. He most recently can be seen recurring in Frank Darabont's show MOB CITY on TNT.

Slide Show

One comic. Eight images and 30 seconds to create an improvised story. Anything can happen and that’s the basis of Slide Show. Each comedian has a chance to create a story for the audience based on eight random slides which are shown for 30 seconds. There’s 500 curated images of photos, maps, graphs and drawings and the comics have no idea what might appear next. It takes a fast mind and a good timing to weave a story together with no idea what will appear next!

Storrs Objection: Destiny

Local comedian Matt Storrs is known for bringing his law background to the stage, especially when fact-checking other comedians’ material after their sets. “The Storrs Objection” will now give Matt the opportunity to fact-check other comedians’ material DURING their sets. Along with this co-council Hattie Jean Hayes, Matt Storrs will rebut and rebuke comedians in the middle of a premise or punchline, throwing off timing and train of thought, and maybe starting a fight or two. “The Storrs Objection” is heckling with a wrecking ball.
